Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is a K2 Cooler?
K2 Coolers are roto-molded polyethylene, which is similar to the construction of most kayaks. This type of material makes up the shell of the cooler and is then injected with up to 3 inches of polyurethane foam. This process is used in the construction of all K2 Coolers. When applying this process, we have developed a rugged, extremely durable cooler with maximum ice retention capability.
Q. How long will K2 Coolers keep ice?
This is a very subjective question and depends on a multitude of factors. We do not claim a certain number of days as that is very misleading. We can tell you that if you follow the ice retention tips located here, you will get the maximum ice retention out of your K2 cooler. You will find that the K2 will outperform all of the standard ice chests available and will perform as well or better than the premium coolers in the US market.

Dish soap and warm water is all that is necessary. If you have some stubborn stains you can use a solution of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water and then rinse well. You can find more cleaning tips here.
