Rotomolded Coolers Limited Seven-Year Manufacturing Warranty

The limited warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for a period of seven years after original purchase. It does not cover any scratches, blemishes, chips or anything that is considered cosmetic. The seven-year warranty covers the rotomolded portion of the cooler (the top and bottom) and does not cover parts that are considered wear and tear items.

Wear & Tear

Items considered wear and tear are: Easy Haul Handles, SureGrip Rubber Feet (both large and small), Torrent Drain Plugs, Positrac Latches and the Padded Shoulder Strap for 20qt coolers. These wear and tear items will need to be replaced from time to time and will be covered under warranty for a period of 1 year after original purchase if there are defects in the manufacturing of the items. Otherwise, all wear and tear items can be purchased at www.k2-coolers.com. If an item is sold out, please sign up to be notified when the item is back in stock.

Lid Seals:

It is not guaranteed that a rotomolded cooler will be air tight. Lid seepage may occur if cooler is turned on its side or is sitting upside down. Lid seepage is not covered by warranty. Sometimes a rotomolded cooler will become air tight and difficult to open. If this does happen, simply unscrew the drain plug to release the “vacuumed” seal.

Warping:

Slight lid warping may occur depending on weather conditions. Because it is typical of plastics to expand and contract, lid warping will not be covered under warranty unless it is directly affecting the performance of a rotomolded cooler. Darker colored coolers have a higher surface temperature and have a more likely chance of this occurring. It is recommended that the rotomolded cooler is NOT stored in direct sunlight.

Ice Retention:

There are no set number of days that a roto-molded cooler should hold ice. Ice retention is dependent upon size, color and how a cooler is used. Please see K2 Coolers Tips and Tricks page for information on how to get maximum ice retention.

Sherpa Backpack Limited Three-Year Warranty

The limited warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for a period of three years after original purchase. It does not cover any scratches, blemishes, chips, tears due to misuse or anything that is considered cosmetic. Because the zipper is heavy-duty, it can sometimes be difficult to open and this is not covered under warranty unless it is directly affecting the performance of the Sherpa Backpack. If the zipper is difficult to open, we recommend using a small amount of petroleum jelly.

Warranty Activation:

In order for the warranty to be activated, it must be registered via the warranty card that comes with all coolers and mailed to K2 Coolers. Alternatively, the cooler can be registered on the K2 Coolers website. The warranty only applies to the cooler’s original owner and does not carry over in the event that a cooler is sold secondhand.

When is a warranty voided?

The warranty is voided if the product is used commercially and does not apply to damage caused by fire, accident, misuse, negligence, stress beyond the physical limits of the materials used in body or components or normal wear and tear (including chips, scratches, abrasions and discoloration due to usage or sunlight). In no event shall K2 coolers be responsible for consequential, special, or incidental damages arising out of a claim or due to a use of a cooler. K2’s limit of liability will be the amount paid for the product at retail. K2 Coolers, LLC reserves the right to change product models and designs. Products repaired or replaced under this warranty may or may not incorporated these changes.

Submitting a claim:

To make a warranty claim, products must be returned directly to K2 Coolers in adequate cardboard packaging, freight prepaid. Please include a copy of the original sales receipt and the Return Authorization Number (RA#). To obtain a Return Authorization Number, submit your information by filling out the form on our website.
